Past Fashions

by Petunia
Today we're taking a look back at one of my past fashion choices. It's from August, 2011 and is a fun, flirty, little layer cake skirt comprised of three different fabrics in complimentary colors and patterns. Ms. Mommy selected the fabric (and did a stellar job, imho!) and did the sewing. For the bodysuit, I had her applique a circle from the bottom layer of skirt fabric and a strawberry from the middle layer of skirt fabric onto a simple, white onesie.

If I could go back and change something about this outfit, I'd definitely pick a onesie with ruffled sleeves. I might throw on a pair of funky tights too. Here I am rockin' this look:

With headband, or without? Personally, I think my natural beauty was enough, rendering the headband unnecessary.   Goodness knows, I just didn't have enough hair last summer to do much of anything with it!

Ms. Mommy made Earl a stellar tie applique onesie, but he wasn't as enthusiastic as we thought he'd be. Probably because Mommy didn't buy him a fedora. I thought he looked nice though! Very bright and summery! I hope you enjoyed this blast from the past. I can't wait see if that skirt still fits me this summer!

Outfit Name: Fruity Layer Skirt & Appliques
